Navi 21 XTXH, XLE, and Nashira Point, 3 variants of the AMD RX 6000 are filtered. The RX 6900 XT is equipped with the Navi 21 XTX GPU, but AMD would still have a more powerful variant called “XTXH”. A model called Nashira Point and another variant called “XLE” were also filtered out.
It’s possible that AMD hasn’t unveiled all of its RX 6000, according to the filtering of 2 models on the USB-IF website. Previously, the most powerful Navi 21 GPU featured the RX 6900 XT (XTX), but we have seen the XTXH variant, which could refer to a more powerful model or simply a variant of the XTX chip.
Sometimes the leaks come in unexpected places, and this is an example of that. USB-IF (Implementers Forum) is the web of the USB implementation forum, i.e. the USB makers. The domain “.org” already gives an alert that this is an organization, and we are sure that you will consider this web as the last place to find leaks.
The RX 6000 are based on the RDNA2 architecture and is equipped with Navi 21 GPUs, namely: XL, XT, and XTX (in theory). However, the news in the middle is that a possible variant of Navi 21 XTX has appeared, of which we know nothing, whose name is XTXH, will it be as powerful or its performance will be better than the RX 6900 XT?
Some people think that it would be a Radeon Pro GPU, aimed at the professional environment. The product in question was listed with a 27W PDP, which refers to the power of the USB-C connector. So this is a 4th Radeon GPU with this connector.
We’ve seen the same thing in the AMD XLE model, a variant of the Navi 21 XL, the GPU that equips the RX 6800. When variants with the letter “E” appear, they usually refer to Efficiency due to the naming convention. This means that low power consumption is preferred over high performance.
Some analysts suspect that the XTXH variant would be a Navi 21 GPU with HBM2E memory, which could end up in laptops. Notebook GPUs usually carry the “M” abbreviation, and there was a leak on macOS where the firmware supported Navi21 with GDDR6 and HBM2 memory.
Another discovery is a model called “Nashira Point”, about which absolutely nothing is known. User @_rogame has commented on this curious GPU, pointing out that it is an RX 6800 ES.
Users are quick to comment on it and suggest that it is a model that belongs to Navy Flounder (navi 22), Sienna Cichlid (navi 21), or Dimgrey Cavefish (navi 23). With that in mind, we’ll keep you posted as we don’t have more information on Nashira Point.
With this, it is clear that AMD has prepared the launch of new graphics cards. Right now, CES 2021 is just around the corner, an event that can bring very interesting news.
