Google has updated its VR paint program Tilt Brush. Which new features are included?
It’s also fun to be creative in Virtual Reality. That’ s what the Tilt Brush is all about, available for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, which impressed us in our test with its wide range of tools and environments, simple controls and share functionality. Now a new update for it appeared.
Tilt Brush: more possibilities, better operation
First of all, there are twelve new brushes. These allow us to create additional textures. It is no longer a problem to have a natural landscape or lifelike characters. Beginner and advanced modes are also new on board.
With the latter, it is intended to pick up less talented users and with the latter to address the up-and-coming Picassos of this world with additional functions. New sound effects complete the painting experience.
Google has also created a practical pin tool. For more complex works of art, it allows us to pin objects, which makes the surrounding scenery easier to work with. With the new Recall Mirror Tool, you can also pull the work right under your nose again and again.
Google wants to see your artwork
New options have been added to make sketch editing easier. For example, we can now directly select certain groups of items, which saves time. In addition, by holding the controller button we can now easily undo errors and return to certain points.
Google also invites us to the official blog to share our works of art in the social media. For this, we should use the hashtag #TiltBrush. If you like the Twitter channels @tiltbrush and @googlearvr liken your creations.
Some time ago we already looked at what happens when Tilt Brush meets reality. An alternative to the VR painting program is CoolPaintr VR for PlayStation VR.
