Thermaltake has expanded its range of ATX power supplies with the announcement of the Smart BX1 RGB. This is the middle segment with an 80Plus label and customizable RGB.
The BX1 RGB is based on an RGB backlight in its cooling stage. Its 140 mm fan is equipped with 10 RGB LEDs. The lighting can be adjusted with different effects. A small button next to the mains connection is used for selection.

There is no modular cable in the block. All beams are connected to the chassis. Note that the manufacturer offers a flat design for easy mounting and storage in a case. Its mechanics meet the requirements of the 80Plus Bronze label and is organized around a single +12V rail. The Smart BX1 RGB is available in the power classes 550, 650 and 750 watts. Safety is ensured by various electrical protection devices. They protect against overvoltage, overload, overheating or short circuit.
The 550W and 650W models have equipped with two PCIe 6 + 2 pins and six SATA against four PCIe 6+2 pins and eight SATA for the 750 Watt model.
