The Walking Dead: Our World is officially released for iOS and Android devices. What can we expect from the mobile Augmented Reality title?
After the enormous success of Pokémon Go, owners of numerous popular cultural brands have discovered Augmented Reality for themselves. After Jurassic World Alive, The Walking Dead: Our World has been released now.

The Walking Dead: Our World brings the title-giving undead from AMC’s successful TV series to our world. In the launch trailer developer, Next Games shows how exciting the fight against the rotten fellows on the open road can be.
Like other games of this kind, The Walking Dead: Our World works with GPS and the online map service Google Maps. The game lets us go hunting alone or in a team with other players. In weekly missions and events, we can fight for rewards in the form of cards that bring new weapons, items, and other upgrades.
Just like in Pokémon Go, in The Walking Dead: Our World we throw grenades at zombies with a finger movement. Otherwise, we try to tap as precisely as possible on the smartphone screen and thereby send undead over the Jordan using firearms.
The zombie spectacle takes place in various modes: If standard encounters are about killing all the undead on one screen, The Walking Dead: Our World also offers whole zombie plagues that appear in waves. Besides, we can save survivors and get them to safety. To this end, players build safe shelters in the area.

The Walking Dead: Our World is available for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Of course, the game offers optional in-app purchases: If you get virtual gold for real money, life in the apocalyptic city will be a lot easier.
The Walking Dead: Our World is not the first and certainly not the last location-based AR game for smartphones. With Ghostbusters World another title similar concept and name has already been announced. Meanwhile, class leader Niantic wants to expand its leading position on the AR market with its own platform Niantic Real World.
