We’re back on top with a new SSD based on NVMe technology that offers a great price/performance ratio. In this case, it is the Team Group T-Force Cardea S, which was already mentioned in February.
Team Group T-Force Cardea S is a new mid-range NVMe SSD that is based on a PCI-Express 3.0 x2 interface, which allows you to offer a device with a better price/performance ratio. Under the hood is a Physis PS5008-E8 controller along with 3D TLC NAND flash memories manufactured at 10nm. This combination enables sequential speeds of up to 1600 MB/sec read, up to 1100 MB/sec write, and up to 280,000 IOPS 4K random access performance.
This SSD Team Group T-Force Cardea S includes an aluminum heatsink, something important to prevent overheating of the memory chips, and above all, the controller, a problem that usually accuses all units with an M.2 format. The heatsink also helps to improve aesthetics and protect the delicate components that are mounted on your compact PCB.
In this case too, no details have been given about the price at which it will reach the market, although its design has focused on offering a very good price/performance ratio, so it should be affordable. It will come in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB versions.
