RGB LEDs are used in most products today, and many companies compete for the best implementation. Team Group this week unveiled its new SSD T-Force Delta Max RGB, which includes a module of addressable RGB LEDs that cover the entire surface and create a unique product on the market.
The T-Force Delta Max RGB is supplied in a 2.5″ SATA format. With 250 GB, 500 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB versions, this new SSD use Silicon Motions’ SM2258 controller and Micron’s 64- or 96-layer 3D TLC NAND memory. In terms of performance, we will have what is expected from an SSD SATA: 560/510 MB/s sequential read/write speed, plus 90K/80K IOPS random read/write.
The SSD has a 9-pin USB connector for the lighting effects and a 5V-4-pin connector for controlling these effects.
As expected, the RGB module takes up space, which explains the additional 2.5 mm that the T-Force Delta Max RGB can accommodate compared to most 2.5″ SSDs on the market (which are 7 mm thick).
