Meizu, known for its continuous innovations, has unveiled the Super mCharge fast charging technology at MWC 2017, positioning itself as a pioneer in the global stage. The SupermCharge technology promises to charge a 3000mAh battery to full capacity in just 20 minutes, even at a temperature of 38 degrees.
Meizu showcased the third generation of its fast charging technology at MWC 2017, incorporating pump charge technology with an impressive conversion efficiency of approximately 98%. This breakthrough addresses issues of low efficiency chargers, reducing heat generation and power waste.
Super mCharge Utilizes Pump Charging Technology
Super mCharge, operating at 11V/5A, integrates a new high-voltage direct charge program with a maximum power rating of an impressive 55W. Meizu claims that Super mCharge can charge up to 60% in just 10 minutes and fully charge a 3000mAh smartphone battery in just 20 minutes, surpassing Huawei’s SuperCharge fast charge.
Addressing concerns about the safety of high power usage, Meizu has incorporated the E-Mark intelligent security chip for voltage and current monitoring, ensuring a secure charging experience. In testing, the Super mCharge technology filled a 3000mAh smartphone battery while maintaining a temperature limited to 38 degrees, lower than the QC 3.0 fast charge solution with a temperature specification of 44 degrees.
Additionally, Meizu has updated data cables, charging cables, and batteries to complement the new technology. The data cable specifications require handling 20V and 8 amperes current and support a passing of electricity of 160W through the line.
The new batteries guarantee about 800 charge and discharge cycles, providing a sufficient capacity for charging cycles. In essence, Meizu has not only introduced a new technology but also presented a comprehensive and integrated solution.
