Valve is increasingly open SteamVR tracking technology. That is, HTC VIVE room-scale tracking technology. Before this entry they have already opened the royalty-free system.

Earlier this week, Valve announces that they will no longer run a $ 3,000 tracking technology introduction course. This time the technical related documents and SDK will be available free of charge on online repositories. Hardware developers will need to go through their own development with Valve tracking equipment.
The last part: Previously introduced in the introductory course. Valve describes the internal components of the SteamVR tracking development kit. Now anyone can buy these components from Triad Semiconductor’s official SteamVR Tracking HDK. SteamVR tracking HDK unit price is only $ 595. And the price will increase with the number of orders. For a 100 complete sets, the unit price is reduced to 500 US dollars.

Each package contains the following components:
1, iCE40 core processor
2, EVM application board (power and access port link plate)
3, “Chiclet” sensor module with Chiclet sensor designed for small TS3633-based optical sensor. The overall PCB size is only 6mm x 10mm. Connection interface is with a 4-pin 0.5mm pitch flat flexible connector on the back for transfer of data to the sensor sub-board.
