The virtual girlfriend is a concept that is beginning to take hold. The idea is simple. Whether it’s a virtual reality girlfriend or an augmented reality girlfriend, it’s about offering singles to have a virtual girlfriend who keeps them company… and more if affinities. In virtual reality, it is above all an experience of seduction and voyeurism. For augmented reality, it is about placing a virtual girlfriend in your environment. 3DHoloGirlfriend promises to go further by offering 3D models that provide real interaction.

The 3DHoloGirlfriend system is quite simple. You choose a virtual girlfriend in 3D that you download on your HoloLens mixed reality glasses. Once downloaded, you can place it, at your leisure, in your environment. Make her sit at your table, on your sofa, or even in your bedroom… Don’t kid yourself, the concept of 3DHoloGirlfriend is above all oriented towards adult entertainment. In fact, the band’s web page says, “the first augmented reality application in the world that brings the girl of your dreams to your bedroom.

At the moment, there are only four models of girls available. Other models should follow at the rate of one new model per week and, eventually, the possibility of choosing and adapting all the desired characteristics to have “the girl of your dreams” as your girlfriend. The graphics quality of the models should also improve over time to provide a more accurate rendering.
Towards a virtual girlfriend who obeys and is interactive
The company works to offer a real interaction with the virtual girlfriend. An artificial intelligence and speech recognition system will communicate and give orders. Your girlfriend will also be able to answer you thanks to artificial intelligence even if any discussion will necessarily be limited. Interactivity should also go further with the ability to interact with hands. Impossible to touch of course but the possibility to carry out specific gestures and to simulate individual practices as a caress and to see your virtual girlfriend react…
3DHoloGirlfriend is currently being tested by 3DHologroup, the start-up that launched the project. The company is also looking for volunteers to participate in the beta-testing program. The virtual girlfriend market probably has a bright future ahead of it, as the above video, recently published, proves. No doubt that soon virtual boyfriends will also be born to fill these ladies and why not even virtual companions (without sexual orientation but with a good dose of artificial intelligence) to fill the trouble of the elderly.
