Sennheiser has taken advantage of the celebration of CES 2018 and present two new headphones. On the one hand, we have the Sennheiser HD 820. That is high-end headphones that seek to offer the quality sound of the Sennheiser HD 800 with a closed design. And, on the other hand, we have the Sennheiser CX 6.00BT. That is a much cheaper in-ear Bluetooth headphone. The Sennheiser HD 820 will reach the market this summer with a price of about 2,000 euros. For its part, the Sennheiser CX 6.00BT will arrive this month with an approximate cost of about 85 euros. Let’s go over its characteristics.
Sennheiser HD 820
The Sennheiser HD 800 is one of the best-rated headphones by HiFi lovers. The problem is that it is open headphones, and that is not suitable if we want to use them outside the home. That is why Sennheiser has announced the launch of the new Sennheiser HD 820. So, that is a model with the same sound quality but with a closed design.
The closed design of the headphones offers a more contained sound but does not bother the rest of people. The open headphones, however, create a broader and more expansive sound scenario. However, they emit the sound out, which can be annoying if we are not alone.
As is logical in such a high-end headphones, the Sennheiser HD 820 comes with the best materials. They have a metallic headband with a full part. They also equip a glass cover on the transducer. That, according to the company, helps minimize the resonances and creates a more realistic and natural sound field.
As we anticipated, the Sennheiser HD 820 will arrive this summer with a price, to the change, of about 2,000 euros.
Sennheiser CX 6.00BT
At one extreme, we have the Sennheiser CX 6.00BT. It is an intra-ear headphones with Bluetooth connection. Although many still prefer wired headphones, we must recognize that the future is wireless. There are already several mobile models that come without a jack, so having good wireless headphones is essential.
The Sennheiser CX 6.00BT features Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity and Qualcomm apt-X technology. That helps reduce latency, which means that we can watch videos without delay between video and audio.
The headphones include a cable that can be placed around the neck, in the style of sports headphones. They also have a remote control with three buttons that will allow us to control music and calls. As for the battery, the Sennheiser CX 6.00BT offer a range of up to six hours with a single charge. They also include fast charging, which will provide up to two hours of autonomy with 10 minutes of charging.
The Sennheiser CX 6.00BT will be available this month with a price of about 85 euros to change.
