Sapphire introduces the Radeon RX 7900 Vapor-X graphics cards. This is a soon-to-be-released custom design featuring some 20 VRM stages.

Sapphire RX 7900 Vapor-X is a new custom model that features a 20-phase VRM power supply design and also three 8-pin connectors, which are going to be necessary to be able to work in the PC.

The Sapphire brand is usually one of AMD’s most important partners for their graphics card releases, and this is probably one of the most important models we are going to have in the market. However, the firm is keeping the mystery about the final design that this model is going to have.

The firm is only showing us the chip and PCB, as well as the cooling system characteristic of the Vapor-X range. Vapor-X is usually placed ahead of Sapphire’s Toxic range, so we understand that the quality of materials will be superior and will come with clocks above the reference.

Although we do not know the overall design of the graphics card, most likely it will have about three fans with a thickness of four slots, as other manufacturers have done.

AMD’s RX 7900 graphics cards are going to be available on AMD.com starting December 13, and for major board partners such as ASRock, ASUS, Biostar, Gigabyte, MSI, PowerColor, Sapphire, Vastarmor, XFX, and Yeston starting mid-December. AMD RX 7900 XTX has a SEP of $999, while the RX 7900 XT has a SEP of $899.

AMD is releasing the RX 7900 XT and RX 7900 XTX models this month, the former with 20GB of VRAM and the latter with 24GB of VRAM, both using the new RDNA 3 architecture quite promising for gamers. We’ll keep you updated.
