As Apple had stopped putting a mini headphone jack into its phones, the discussion arose as to whether it was really necessary to say goodbye to the headphone jack that has accompanied smartphones. It seems that Samsung will be the next company to get rid of this add-on forever.
According to ET News, one of the Korean media that often have reliable reports about Samsung, the company intends to abandon the 3.5mm mini jack next year. This would happen at the premiere of Galaxy Note 10 in 2019 or on the occasion of Galaxy S11 in 2020.
Samsung apparently intends to familiarize itself with the latest trends. Not only because Apple has already done so, but also because we have a growing market for wireless headphones. Adding an outdated link to your phone seems pointless.
ET News reports that Samsung will probably add a suitable Mini USB-C adapter to its phones. It looks as if the Galaxy S10 will be the last phone from Samsung to have a headphone jack. If it turns out that both Samsung and Apple will give up this socket completely, its days will be numbered. There’s still plenty of time until the premiere of Samsung Galaxy S10. In the meantime, you can take a look at the falling prices of older Korean models.
