The most convenient solution for connecting a monitor to a laptop or USB Type-C device is Thunderbolt 3, which enables a processing speed of 40 gigabits per second. Also, notebooks can get via this interface with up to 85 watts.

The 21: 9 screen of the CJ791 offers plenty of room for multitasking, which is mainly for the business environment. The resolution of the display is 3440 x 1440 (Ultra Wide QHD). For example, people who cut videos and keep an eye on the entire timeline get real added value. In professional use, multiple monitors can come side by side. The low depth and the at least three teams frameless design makes it possible.

Samsung promises to display up to 125 percent of the sRGB color spectrum in color rendering, allowing for a bit more vibrant colors. Primarily if you do not work color-accurate. The radius of curvature is Samsung with 1500 mm and the viewing angle with 178 degrees. Although ergonomics is not that important on the CJ791 because of the inclination angle and the height adjustment.

Even if one does not mention anything about G-Sync, FreeSync or a frame rate beyond 60 Hz, Samsung sees the 34-inch monitor as playable, at least thanks to Game Mode and a frame time of 4 ms.

From January 9 to 12, 2018, Samsung will showcase the new QLED Curved Monitor CJ791 at Samsung’s # 15006 booth, Level 1 of the Central Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
