Ryzen 7000 ‘Zen 4’ will include Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 7900X, Ryzen 7 7800X, and Ryzen 5 7600X

According to leaker Greymon55, the series is expected to feature four models at launch: Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7800X, and the Ryzen 5 7600X. The core count would be no different than what we have in the current Ryzen 5000 series. However, the advantages will come at the architecture level, with Zen 4 cores that are going to improve IPC performance.

In the following lines, we’ll take a look at some of the expected specs for the Ryzen 7000 series.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X:

This will be the flagship of the series with up to 16 cores and 32 threads. These cores use the Zen 4 architecture and are expected to reach clock speeds of up to 5.5 GHz. TDP power consumption would be between 170W to 230W PPT.

The leak also comments that its price could be $900, which would be $100 above the Ryzen 9 5950X at launch.

AMD Ryzen 9 7900X:

This model features 12 cores and 24 threads with clock speeds that should be somewhat lower than 5.5 GHz. The TPD could be 175W or 125W, the consumption would not be confirmed for now.

Its price could be around 550 to 600 US dollars.

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X:

This model will offer about 8 cores and 16 threads. This model would have the difficult task of replacing the Ryzen 7 5800X3D with a 3D V-Cache.

The price should be around 450-500 US dollars.

About the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X, this model is not mentioned because it would not be a launch model but could be released a few months later.

AMD Ryzen 5 7600X:

This is the latest model to launch, according to the leak. It is a 6-core, 12-thread processor with a maximum clock speed of 5.1 GHz. This model, which is going to compete with the Core i5, would be priced at $300 or $350.

The Ryzen 7000 series is going to be launched in the second half of this year, to take on the upcoming 13th generation Intel Core.
