According to the new benchmark results, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card could be 35% faster than the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti.
RTX 3080 appears in 3DMark and is 35% faster than RTX 2080 Ti
These latest performance details have been communicated by the Kopite7kimi, which recently announced the benchmark results of the GeForce RTX 3090, which will probably be released as the 3080 Ti.
According to the latest filtering, where the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 was allegedly tested in 3DMark Time Spy, the allegedly Amp-based GPU offers a significant performance improvement over the Turing-based RTX 2080 Ti.
The GPU scored almost 8,600 points in the Time Spy Extreme graphics and is thus about 35% faster than the RTX 2080 Ti. This is a bigger increase than earlier rumors suggested, and the first benchmark results suggest that it is about 20% faster than Turing’s flagship.
The same leak indicated that the GeForce RTX 3080 will deliver up to 50% more graphics performance than the GeForce RTX 2080 at 4K and up to 40% more graphics performance at 1440p.
Compared to the so-called NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 – which is probably the RTX 3080 Ti – which scored almost 10,000 points in the same Time Spy test, the GeForce RTX 3080 is only about 16% slower. According to the researcher, this high-end card will be 50% faster than Nvidia’s current flagship, the GPU.
Kopite7kimi has provided some additional details about the RTX 3080 and claims that the card will have a GA102-200-KD-A1 model that has the same 4352 CUDA cores as the RTX 2080 Ti. It will also have 10 GB of GDDR6X memory at 19 Gbps and a bandwidth of 760 Gbps.
According to a recent rumor, Nvidia will launch its first Amp CPUs on September 17, so we will be watching closely.
