Sometimes we go to YouTube to find a video tutorial or anything else we need, but due to the “Recommended,” “Popular videos” and any other distraction, we end up looking at several videos that have nothing to do with what made us enter the platform.
We can solve it with RIV, a website that allows us to watch YouTube videos without distractions, under an interface that does not contain those multiple elements that make us divert our attention.
How does it work?
RIV has a very minimalist interface in which we will only see squares of videos related to our search, but before, just when entering, it shows us recommended clips in which we can test its visualization.
To find a video, just enter the keywords in the search bar, just as we would on YouTube. We can also paste the link of a video from the Google platform to be more exact.
When clicking on a video in the list of results, it will take us to another tab where we can see them comfortably, since the cover of the video covers the entire screen, and we only have to click on the play symbol to open a box with the video direct from YouTube.
From this box, it will be possible to control playback and other YouTube settings. We can even see information such as the number of subscribers, number of reproductions, date of publication, buttons to share, and if we want to subscribe, it will take us to the YouTube channel to do so.
Other options
If we want to know if the video is just what we are looking for, from the list of results we can see a preview.
If we click on the button “Use this video.” Then it will take us to choose a design. That is, the way in which its reproduction will be visualized and finally, it provides us with buttons of social networks to be able to share it: mail, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn or using your direct link.
This is how, like RIV, such a simple website can contribute not to invest so much time in distractions. Also, RIV is free and does not contain ads.
