Today we have with us another proposal of MSI in gaming laptops. This time it’s about the new MSI GE63VR 7RF Raider, a 15’6 “laptop that gives MSI a new look and thinks with a new line that feels right. If in addition to good design, we added a light weight, with relatively thin lines. And we are accompanied by a 7th generation Intel Core i7 7700HQ, a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 120Hz 120Hz refresh panel, a 512GB SSD and a traditional HDD of 1TB and 7200rpm, because without a doubt we are facing a laptop that will give much but much play in all aspects.
Also, MSI seems to have not wanted to leave anything in the inkwell with this model, starting with its dissipation COOLER BOOST 5 with seven heat pipes of direct contact, so that hours of intensive use are not a problem. All this without forgetting its generous touchpad, a SteelSeries LED RGB keyboard and a sound more than attractive to space.

UNBOXING – MSI GE63VR 7RF Raider
We started the unboxing, as it could not be otherwise, with the MSI box GE63VR 7RF Raider. As you will see, later it counts on a briefcase form, being quite clear in its front showing us the dragon (famous mascot of MSI and that inspires its designs) and identifying us that we are a model MSI GE Raider.
On the other side, things start to get more interesting because we can find many of the added technologies with which MSI teams usually count. Among the many, it is worth mentioning that we are facing a team prepared for Virtual Reality (VR Ready), which has Hi-Res Audio Certification, no more, no less than 120Hz refresh panel and 3ms response or SteelSeries keyboard with RGB LED lighting designed by and for gaming.

On the other side, things start to get more interesting because we can find many of the added technologies with which MSI teams usually count. Once the “briefcase” has been opened, we can find the unit completely padded so that it does not suffer in the transport, accompanied in the upper part by the current transformer and to the left the connector to the electric network of the same. Below the unit, we will also find the manuals and additions that we will show a little later.
Removed the polyethylene we observe that the notebook has its original cover that accompanies all the portable of MSI for its perfect conservation.
The power supply corresponds to the well-known and award-winning manufacturer Chicony, this time with a total 230W model, something that can give us an idea of the maximum consumption of this unit at full load.

Removed all the protections and covers of the unit we find the new MSI GE63VR 7RF Raider in all its splendor. As you can mark in the image, we find a 15’6 “laptop but with very moderate dimensions, bold lines, with the characteristic brushed aluminum of MSI gaming units and finished in their traditional black and red colors. On the left view of the laptop we find a free air outlet, RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet connection, 1x HDMI 2.0b, 1x Mini-DisplayPort 1.4, 1x USB 3.1 Gen1 Type A and 1x Type-C (USB3.1 Gen2 / DP / Thunderbolt 3).As for the right side features 1x USB 2.0, SD card reader (XC / HC), another free air outlet and the power outlet. Once seen both sides we see how MSI continues to offer ports on both sides, thus making possible a distribution of external peripherals on both sides.

The back of this MSI GE63VR 7RF Raider shows us the bold and yet subtle line of the design along with the new MSI logo that features white LED lighting when the laptop is on and finally its other two air outlets, With which they would add 4 in total for the extraction of the heat.
Once open it is when it shows its best face, where we can see its free screen and touchpad, its SteelSeries keyboard, its control button on the right side as well as its informative stickers of the specifications that accompany the particular unit.

The sound of the new MSI GE63VR 7RF Raider has not been left out either, offering a DYNAUDIO dual-speaker and double-woofer solution that provides not only a rather high sound but also a much quality, something that has much merit in seeing the dimensions of the unit.

Finally, accompanying the SSD drive of 512GB M.2, we can find the unit of the award-winning manufacturer HGST of 1TB capacity and 7200rpm. A unit that is much appreciated as a companion to the SSD for its extra capacity and transmission speed more than decent to play.
