On Monday, Mediatek is expected to bring its next 5G budget processor, the Dimensity 820, with Redmi possibly being the first customer for Redmi Note 10. There is news that the Redmi Note 10 may already have passed Geekbench with the Dimensity 820 on board.
Redmi Note 10 with Dimensity 820, what a great combination
The devices concerned are the M2004J7AC and the M2004J7BC, the first of which has already been certified by TENAA, and we can see that these devices appear in Geekbench with an unknown MT6875 on board, which could turn out to be the Mediatek Dimensity 820. At the moment there is no complete surety whether it will be the Redmi Note 10 or the Redmi K30i, or whether the chip will have the Dimensity 820 or 800+.
Either way, the future Mediatek chip ought to have a maximum frequency of 2.6 GHz, with the efficiency cores at 2.0 GHz, and its performance seems to be flawless. In total, there are already 14 tests in the GeekBench with these devices, in which the single-core results are above 640 points. However, the multi-core values range from 2400 to 2600 points.
This is important: these values are very close to those of devices with Snapdragon 855 such as OnePlus 7 Pro, which shows that the future Dimensity will have a potentially very attractive performance.
Next, we find differences between the BC and AC models, with the former showing values above 2600 points with rare exceptions, while the AC model barely exceeds 2400 points. So we are dealing with different versions of the same chip, so we can assume that one model is the Note 10 with code name Atom, while the second model is the Redmi Note 10 Pro with code name Bomb. The last detail that can be taken from these benchmarks is that the devices used have 8 GB of RAM.
If MediaTek officially passes on Monday, the Redmi mustn’t hesitate, so the doubts will be dispelled very quickly.
