The X08, a semi-tower ATX chassis with an open design, was introduced today by Raidmax, which means that it has virtually no traditional metal plates and only protects the tempered glass on both sides with some of the chassis details forming asymmetrical shapes.
Raidmax X08 chassis surprises with its outdoor design
With a collection of stamped metal sheets bolted to tempered glass side panels, the X08 holds a standard ATX motherboard with 7 additional card slots. The motherboard tray can accommodate graphics cards up to 40 cm in length and CPU cooling systems up to 15 cm in height.
There are no drive brackets as such, and you are allowed to mount 2.5-inch drives along the spine panel with the baseplate tray. The only ventilation brackets are three 120 mm brackets along the top panel, allowing for the installation of a 360 mm x 120 mm radiator. Front panel connectivity includes a pair of USB 3.0 ports and HDA connectors. The box measures 610 mm x 255 mm x 525 mm.
The design is a new concept that can look great on our desk, although we do not know how it will behave when it comes to repelling dirt and dust that can accumulate inside being so open design, although surely the cooling of the equipment will not be a problem.
Raidmax hasn’t wanted to reveal his price yet.
