Qualcomm today introduced the Snapdragon 888, its new processor for high-end smartphones. Although it is not named 875, it will be the successor to the current Snapdragon 865 and will be present in 2021 in the most powerful phones.

The Snapdragon 888 is an eight-core chip and features an Adreno 660 graphics processor, which promises up to 35 percent faster graphics processing. It also includes a Hexagon 780 chip dedicated to artificial intelligence and a Snapdragon X60 5G modem.

In addition, to support for 5G and WiFi 6, the model promises major technological advances, especially in cameras and games. According to the company, approximately one billion people play games on cell phones alone, and the company intends to improve the user experience.
