Online privacy is a topic that is finally beginning to be of interest to a growing group of people. Firefox has long responded to the privacy needs of its users, but will now do so on a much larger scale. The company will join forces with the TOR network in order to provide its customers with secure Internet browsing.
Project Fusion Firefox will display super private mode based on TOR network
The TOR network may be associated in different ways – it is used for anonymous Internet browsing, but… by the way, it is not necessarily associated with legal activities on the Internet. In any case, the TOR Project has just announced that it is starting to work with Mozilla. This is to result in the integration of TOR network services in Firefox. This will probably also mean the end of the TOR browser, as it will simply become part of the Firefox.
The new initiative is called Project Fusion (Firefox USIng Onions). In particular, it will address a number of functions related to anonymity in the network and security. For example, it’s about including proxy support in your browser, developing the best possible integration of TOR with Firefox, and also creating resistance to fingerprinting, i.e. identifying someone by the elements of the viewed pages.
