NVIDIA today released the latest version of its GeForce software, the 456.71 Game Ready drivers, ready for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (beta).
These drivers not only include optimization for Activision gaming but also provide support for NVIDIA Reflex, a technology that reduces latency throughout the system.
In addition, the drivers fix a variety of issues, including GPU acceleration, which resulted in lower performance in Divinity: Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition. It also fixes a problem with G-SYNC that could cause the screen to go black when starting a full-screen game on monitors with adaptive synchronization. Among other things, it also fixes a problem that could cause Fortnite to shut down when using RTX Shadows / Reflection on some notebook configurations.
NVIDIA states that they are working on fixing other known issues. For example, in World of Warcraft Shadowlands, where characters move strangely when the game runs at more than 60 FPS.
NVIDIA Reflex is a revolutionary combined solution of GPU graphics, G-SYNC displays, and software technology that measures and reduces the latency of competitive games.
Previously, games such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Warzone, Fortnite, and Fearless Pact have supported NVIDIA Reflex, with Apex Heroes, Kitchen Royale, Destiny 2, Conscript, Kovaak 2.0 and Bloody Sword Fighting on the horizon.
Support for these new Game Ready drivers will of course include the current RTX 30 series. If you have not yet updated, you can do so using the link below.
