NVIDIA GTX 1170 Specifications, Price and Performance
All of the information presented here is preliminary and unofficial (NVIDIA’s 11 series is not yet officially announced), so some of it may or may not change, especially in terms of performance.
According to the latest leaks, rumors, and information provided by wccftech, the GeForce GTX 1170 runs on a GT104 codenamed GPU measuring about 400mm². The GTX 1170 would have about 2688 CUDA cores, a 256-bit GDDR6 memory interface and 8 to 16 GB of 12 Gbps GDDR6 memory, which is a little slower than the GTX 1180.
The graphics card is expected to have a clock speed of 1.5GHz, capable of reaching 1.8GHz. The TDP of this graphics card has not been confirmed to date but is expected to be between 140-160W.
The maximum calculation performance in FP32 is expected to be around 9.75 TFLOPS, depending on the clock speed the graphics card can reach and the frequency with which it does so. This would put it in the same category as the current NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.
Price and date of publication
The GeForce GTX 1170 is likely to be available in the summer. All the leaks and rumors point to a debut at about the same time as the GTX 1180 in July, so you can expect the GTX 1170 to be available on the shelves at the same time or just a couple of weeks after the GTX 1180.
On the price side, rumors say NVIDIA wants to charge more for the GTX 1170 compared to the GTX 1070, with some rumors pointing to a price of around $499.
