A few days ago we received news about the GeForce RTX 3060 and RTX 3050 Ti, and today we have information about the more economical model in the amp family: the GeForce RTX 3050.
The launch of NVIDIA’s most powerful graphics cards is behind us, but the company still has plans to expand the family with more affordable models. Among them is the GeForce RTX 3050, which could be a very interesting option for those who play 1080p and are not so demanding.
According to Leaker Kopite the RTX 3050 is based on the GPU GA107-300 and is supplied with 2304 CUDA cores. It is also said that this model would have a 90W TGP, which requires a 6-pin power supply. Although it is not known at this time how much memory the new graphics card will have, it is speculated that at least 4 GB will be used, since a lower memory requirement would not be sufficient for almost every game today.
As an RTX model, this is the first GPU in the xx50 series to have access to Tensor Cores and RT Cores. Besides the fact that this card is the first of its kind to integrate ray tracing, the highlight here is that this card will provide support for running the extremely beneficial NVIDIA DLSS technology, allowing you to access higher resolutions such as 1440p or use ray tracing in 1080p.
Unfortunately, we do not know when NVIDIA plans to release this model. However, it’s almost a foregone conclusion that the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, a mid-range GPU that promises to outperform the RTX 2080 SUPER, will be the first to hit the stores at around $400. The latter would have been recently delayed until 2 December, so that we would have to wait several months for the RTX 3050.
The GeForce RTX 3050 would be the first card in its range to integrate the Tensor and RT core and provide access to Ray Tracing and DLSS.
