NVIDIA has provided us with some slideshows with the latest update to the Nvidia GeForce Experience software, which they hope will attract as many users as possible with tools that can be very interesting – let’s see!
GeForce Experience in a new look, Ansel with interesting features
The slides start with a small excerpt from the Geforce Experience Interface, which seems slightly refreshed and concentrates on the tools Ansel, Freestyle, and Highlights. Let us see the improvements they are announcing in this respect.
They also show the 22 new titles Ansel and Highlights have acquired, including some like PES2019, Hitman 2, Metro Exodus, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Prey, Battlefield V and others.
Basically, Ansel can be used to take screenshots of games with advanced features like 360° scene view, ultra-high resolution or HDR support.
This technology is now updated with raytracing screenshots that promise ultra-realistic images with 32 times more shadow samples and 40 times more reflections, 12 times more environmental shutters and 10 times more refractions per pixel with “Ansel RT”. This makes the catches even more realistic than the game itself.
In addition, we have new filters like the Green Screen (Chroma Key), hundreds of games and resolution scaling via artificial intelligence, which promises to increase the resolution of photos up to 8K by a resizing that, as promised, will be particularly realistic.
This technology, which is already available in more than 200 titles, has more than 50 with all functions: Screenshot, filter, HDR, super-resolution, HUD distance, free camera, 360º/VR recording and Ansel RT, while more than 150 others have all functions except the last three mentioned. The increase in games is due to the fact that it is no longer necessary to integrate the Ansel SDK for some of the features offered.
Finally, a brief overview of NVIDIA Freestyle and NVIDIA highlights: The first allows you to change the look of your games with real-time filters as if you were in Instagram 😉, while highlights automatically record lows and deaths in your games.
