HMD Global is preparing for the launch of one of its most controversial smartphones, the Nokia X.
A “notched” invitation announces the arrival of the Nokia X on 16 May
Although the phone has recently been seen in China, it has not yet been officially introduced.
The Finnish company is holding a 5-day event in Beijing, China, where all its smartphones and mobile phones are on display. Apart from the devices that have already been released, HMD Global shows one that has not even been announced yet, the Nokia X.
In fact, many posters posted near the location of the event announce the next Nokia X, although it will not be announced for at least another two weeks. Although the Nokia X is displayed at the exhibition, no information about the phone’s specifications is displayed. Also, the device appears to be locked so that no one can see its hardware specifications.
According to an official invitation from HMD Global, the Nokia X will be unveiled on May 16th. Although the invitation does not mention the name of Nokia X, the fact that it takes the form of a smartphone with a notched screen suggests that this is the device that HMD Global plans to announce next month.
