Three new iPhone models are scheduled for fall 2018. Now you can see the first dummies from the 3D printer from the Chinese classifieds market at Alibaba at the Japanese blog Macotakara. The video shows a good size comparison and reveals the first surprising details about the iPhone X2, iPhone X Plus and the new 6-inch model with LCD display: all with “frameless” display and not without notch.
Three new iPhone models are expected in 2018. This is no longer a secret and has been well documented so far. These are two models with OLED screens from 6.5 inch and 5.8 inches, while a third iPhone will be equipped with a 6.1-inch TFT LCD. The Japanese blog Macotakara now offers a detailed look at the upcoming devices and illustrates the differences in a video.
The models purchased from Alibaba on the Chinese classifieds market will be based on the final designs from last week. The plans are available in the Asian supply chain and allow the adaptation of tools and initial plans for covers and accessories.
The new 5.8-inch iPhone X model measures 143.65 x 72.03 x 7.69 millimeters. This new iPhone is almost the same as iPhone X (2017). The position of the camera is identical. Covers already available fit, as you can see in the video.
The 6.4-inch OLED iPhone, which is expected this year, measures 157.53 x 77.44 x 7.85 millimetres. One millimetre shorter and one millimetre wider, this device corresponds to the current iPhone 8 Plus, whose cases will probably not fit on this model.
Apparently, the device sold as iPhone X Plus will use the same camera technology as iPhone X.
The last model that colleagues take in their hands is the 6.0-inch iPhone with LCD display measuring 150.91 x 75.72 x 8.47 millimetres. In size, it’s right between iPhone X and iPhone 8 Plus, although it’s remarkably thicker. The rear camera is similar to that of the iPhone 7.
