The new QNAP QM2 cards are compatible with SSD M.2 drives based on both the SATA III bus and the PCI Express 3.0 x4 bus, which means that we can mount from basic models to the most advanced ones with the NVMe protocol. These SSDs can be used to enable caching of the SSD, increasing IOPS performance, or to create an automated tiered storage volume for optimal storage performance. They also support RAID 5/RAID 6/RAID 10, to provide redundancy against possible hardware failures.

These new QNAP QM2 cards are compatible with a variety of QNAP NAS models. Its thermal sensors allow real-time temperature monitoring of the SSD M.2, the manufacturer also includes a heatsink, which includes a fan with an intelligent operation, to achieve the maximum possible silence.

These QM2 cards include advanced models with additional 10GbE 10GBASE-T connectivity, helping to improve overall NAS performance while providing an affordable expansion path for 10GbE network adoption.
