The Vuzix Blade intelligent glasses are very similar to traditional sunglasses, with an 8-megapixel camera responsible for scanning people’s faces, sending all the information wirelessly to a portable base and comparing the scanned faces with those of a local database.

Rapid face detection and greater mobility because it is not dependent on the Internet. This database can process up to one million unique faces of potential offenders, delinquents, etc. All relevant information is offered to the glasses themselves via a transparent screen as soon as matches are available.

NNTC, based in Dubai, developed the face recognition software. The company points out that the glasses can recognize up to 15 faces in less than a second. In Abu Dhabi itself, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, 50 pairs of these face recognition glasses have been produced to date and are used in various safety options.

All features of the new solution are available on the official NNTC website. For more information, see the PDF of the presentation.
