New Gigabyte card CMT2014 for M.2 disks

The new Gigabyte CMT2014 card is used to connect up to four M.2 SSD disks to a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 interface. So, that is a product similar to the ASRock Ultra Quad M.2 and ASUS Hyper M.2 that were launched already several months. Thus, the only difference is that this model of Gigabyte does not include any cooling system for discs. So, that makes it a more natural and cheaper product to manufacture.

We continue to see the characteristics of the Gigabyte CMT2014 with the presence of an LED activity indicator for each of the included M.2 slots. It also offers temperature sensors, positioned in the place like most of the SSD disks.

Gigabyte has not announced the price. Until now it has indicated that it is only shown for Intel Xeon platforms. Also, this is to prevent users from pulling RMA. And in cases where they can not make it work on their motherboards that lack segmentation of lane.
