MSI RX 5500 XT: Mech and Gaming, two new models spotted

There are rumors that AMD will release its Radeon RX 5500 XT graphics card this week. Today we already see leaks appearing in two of the MSI variants of the next GPU, according to VideoCardz.

The AMD Radeon RX 5500 series is expected to land in 4GB and 8GB memory configurations via a 128-bit memory bus and 1,408 RDNA cores. The RX 5500 is probably a pure OEM product with lower clocks than the RX 5500 XT.

MSI will release the Mech RX5500 XT as a universal option with a clock rate of up to 1.845 MHz. Then we have a higher quality MSI gaming model that will have clock frequencies up to 1.905 MHz. The cards apparently don’t deviate from the clock frequency of the AMD reference memory (14 Gbit/s), which is not surprising considering that today we only see overclocked memory in very selected graphics cards. It is said that both cards have 8 GB GDDR6 memory and PCIe 4.0 compatibility.

If this is true, all the details will be confirmed on Thursday with various analyses that will be available from that day.
