Mozilla released a new update to its Firefox 59 “Quantum” browser on Monday for all supported platforms, fixing a lot of issues and adding several improvements.
Mozilla Firefox 59’Quantum’ continues to improve and fix bugs
The maintenance version of Firefox 59.0.2 is here to address a problem related to CPU. And memory usage caused by third-party applications on multiple computers, although Mozilla did not mention whether it affects all platforms on which it was released. It also improves page rendering when hardware acceleration is enabled.
Like every application today, they get better with every new version and browsers to have been evolving for as long as I can remember. With each new iteration, functions and improvements have been added, which also bring new bugs that must be fixed.
In addition to improvements in CPU and memory usage, Firefox 59.0.2 also addresses the intermittent crashes. That can occur when attempting to cancel a print job when it is almost complete. Also, there is an error in URL fragment. That identifier that could break Service Worker responses, and an audio problem on various BSD systems such as FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, and DragonFly BSD.
For Windows 7 users who use touch screens and some third-party desktop applications. Such as StickyPassword that somehow interact with Firefox through its accessibility services. Also, Mozilla fixes a lot of random browser crashes that have been reported lately. You can download Firefox 59.0.2 for GNU/Linux, macOS. And Windows right now from Mozilla’s site or through the browser’s automatic updater.
