Motorola has not had a flagship mobile phone on the market for a few years. However, today the company officially announced the Motorola Edge and Edge+ with Snapdragon, fantastic cameras, and more. Renderings of the Motorola Edge+ were leaked two months ago, revealing some of its features. But this time we have official information.
The Motorola Edge+ is the real flagship phone and features a Snapdragon 865 processor, 12 GB Ram, 256 GB memory, and a 17 cm FHD AMOLED screen with a “waterfall” curve on each side, a 24 MP Selfie camera port and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. It also features an 18W wireless charging station and a triple camera system.
This configuration is controlled by a 108 MP sensor together with a 16 MP ultra-wide-angle shutter and an 8 MP telephoto lens. All this is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery. It even offers wireless charge reversal. Here are some pictures:
Compared to the Motorola Edge+, the capabilities of the Edge are cleverly reduced to keep the price down. It has the same screen and overall design but uses a Snapdragon 765 to ensure 5G and good performance. All models are equipped with Android 10, 4, or 6 GB RAM and 128 GB memory. It also has a 64 MP camera and the same two additional sensors as the Edge+. However, the regular Edge does not have a wireless charger for its 4500 mAh battery.

Both the Edge and Edge+ will be 5G compatible (U-6 for the Edge only), available in red or black, and will use their curved displays for some new software features. Both will also have at least one major Android update.
At the moment we don’t know when it will arrive in Latin America, but the cost in the US is $1000 for the +. The price for the regular Edge has not been announced yet, but it will be significantly lower. We will keep you informed of further details as soon as we have them.
