The launch of MIX, the world’s smallest magnified reality glasses with an all-around 96° field of view, has arrived.
Featuring an innovative optical system that combines the outdoor environment and magnified viewing light via two separate optical channels to present AR vision with a larger FoV, this means MIX offers users truly immersive experiences with small, comfortable and easy-to-use glasses.
With this system it is no longer necessary to have additional devices to view Augmented Reality content, making it possible to view everything on a 1200 x 1200 screen in each eye with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The glasses are also compatible with positional tracking to help provide a complete AR experience of what is around the wearer. Virtual objects, such as holograms, will remain in place in the real environment instead of moving with the user, even when they are not in the users’ view.
Mix can also be used as a basis for program development in a variety of other fields, including education, exhibition, design and industry. The integrated features of Mix connect to the PC and are designed to be compatible with StreamVR, so you can play with what’s on this platform.
You can get more information on their Kickstarter page, where they have already surpassed what was requested in a few hours.
