Based on the Fitlet 2 chassis style, this Mintbox Mini 2 is an Intel platform. It provides passive cooling. No fan is present, so its operation is silent. The trick is to use the chassis, the box, as a significant heat sink. That explains the presence of external fins. The machine is compact with 112 mm wide, 84 mm deep and 34 mm thick.

To return to the configuration part, the primary storage does not evolve in capacity with the presence of a 64 GB SSD. The RAM part also remains the same compared to the Mintbox Mini with 4 GB. The processor is faster with a switch from an A4-Micro 6400T to a Celeron J3455. The GPU part is an Intel HD Graphics 500 solution while the Dual Gigabit wired network is part of it. A wireless module is also available with Dual-band 802.11ac + Bluetooth 4.2.

Finally, the machine is announced at the price of 299 dollars with a guarantee of 5 years. It comes with a Linux Mint operating system. The connector consists of two front USB 3.0 ports, two rear USB 2.0 ports, a MicroSDXC card reader and the perfect 3.5 mm headphone and microphone jack ports.

Note that for 349 €, a Pro version is also possible. It provides 120GB of storage and 8GB of RAM.
