Microsoft Adds new Modern Keyboard with a fingerprint sensor

Last October, along with the unveiling of Surface Studio and the Surface Book i7. With these Microsoft also introduced some interesting accessories. Among which we can mention the Surface Keyboard and Mouse. Also, they are the Surface standard with its powerful desktop computer.

So, we know that the company based in Redmond is not new in this segment of the market. And now presents another winning bet in the market of peripherals with a laptop and integrates a couple of new features that many users will appreciate.

Modern Keyboard Sensor not so hidden traces

The new Microsoft Modern Keyboard is virtually identical to the Surface keyboard. But with the fundamental difference is that it integrates a sensor “fingerprint”. That is hidden in the second Windows key that locates on the right side of the keyboard. Of course, it will also use to log in to Windows 10 or websites with the help of Windows Hello.
On the other hand, its second new feature is the possibility of using a cable to connect with some device instead of the usual wireless connection. When connected via Bluetooth, it offers a range of up to 15 meters in the free field or 7 meters in an office environment. By the way, it is compatible, in addition to Windows 10, 8 and 8.1, with macOS (10.10 and higher), iOS (8.1 and higher), and Android (4.4.2 and above).

Finally, it is made of aluminum and incorporates a rechargeable battery. That offers up to 2 months of autonomy with a single charge, as we read on the company website.

The price of the Morden Keyboard is $ 129. And will be available from the Microsoft online store.  Up to now, we do not know the date of release and pricing of the new gadget. But it will come at stores very soon. So this is one of most interesting innovation from Microsoft.
