Mi Laser Projector 150″ with ALPD projection technology from Xiaomi

Already days ago, Xiaomi pushed it forward in its social profiles, and today Xiaomi presents a series of new devices for the European market, including the new Mi Laser Projector 150″, an interesting projector that allows the user to project images of up to 150″ without having to move too far away from the projection screen, only up to 50 cm apart.

According to the general description of the official website:

This is the first ultra-short focus laser projector with ALPD technology that delivers up to 150” Full HD at a distance of 50cm with a contrast ratio of 1,500 lumens and 3000:1 and a life of 20,000 hours.

It undoubtedly sounds very interesting, while integrating Android TV as an operating system along with three HDMI input ports and supporting wireless connectivity to other devices via Bluetooth, so users have a variety of options from slide presentation to viewing content streaming services for online videos and more.

Maybe some of you can think about plugging in a TV tuner and watching your favorite games live. If you rely on the Internet for projections, My Laser Projector 150″ can be connected to the Internet via Ethernet or WiFi.

Xiaomi also points out that this projector offers a picture quality that is comparable to that in cinemas, while the picture quality with these “bright and vibrant colors” is possible because of the new ALPD 3.0 laser technology from Appotronics, which also includes DLP digital light processing from Texas Instruments and the DMD chip used.

As far as sound is concerned, they point out on the Internet that “it has the same speaker system that was developed for Mi television and with double frequencies with high fidelity” that supports DOLBY technologies, DTS and dual decoding to provide a sound experience similar to that in cinemas.

In terms of price, the 150″ laser projector will be up for sale next September 12th for €1,899, an amount that may seem high at first, but is significantly cheaper than other similar projectors by the specification.
