Memblaze has recently launched the NVMe PBlaze5 910/916 high-performance and 510/516 low-power SSD series. These drives adopt 64-layer enterprise-class 3D-NAND memory technology and support the standard NVMe protocol with up to 15.36 TB capacity.
PBlaze5 can have capacities up to 15.36 TB
The PBlaze5 910/916 NVMe SSD series features 6 GB/sec sequential read bandwidth, 1 million IOPS read performance and 89/11microsecond read/write latency. With the high performance shared by the PBlaze series products, the PBlaze5 910/916 series has advanced features like high-speed TRIM and multiple namespaces, with higher QoS and more flexibility.
The PBlaze5 910/916 series features a dramatic improvement in performance/power ratio (PPR), with random read/write IOPS per watt of up to 70k/18k and sequential read/write bandwidth per watt of up to 388/212 MB/s.
Under heavy workload, the performance/power of the PBlaze5 910/916 series is 30% to 40% higher than that of the 700/900 series.
The 510/516 low-power models are 2.5-inch NVMe SSDs with a thickness of 15 mm. They offer a performance of 540,000 IOPS and 3.2 GB/s bandwidth. The unit has a 10W load consumption and a 4W standby consumption, which offers great energy savings.
In addition, NVMe PBlaze5 510/516 Series SSDs have many basic technologies, including LDPC error correction, full data path protection, power failure protection, and hot-plugging, ensuring high reliability, high availability, and security of device data.
There is no news on pricing or availability on the unit, but we expect it to be published before the fourth quarter.
