Stacks is a method to keep your Desktop cleaner and tidier by automating file organization. Create groups of them using different criteria not to customize them, that is, you cannot create a Stack using your own criteria, but you can only use the available options.

To activate Stacks, available only on the Desktop, open the menu View > Use Stacks. The files will then be grouped on the Desktop according to the chosen criteria, which is in the same menu, with an additional context menu

Opening a Stack on the desktop displays all its files but you can’t do much more than double-click on them or use Quick Look to preview them. Folders in this category do not fall into Stacks, i.e. you can have several folders that meet a criterion but are not grouped in a stack.

macOS 10.14 Mojave: the new Software Update control panel

In macOS 10.14 Mojave we now have a new control panel in System Preferences: Software Update.
In previous versions of the system, the Software Update options were located in…… In macOS 10.14 Mojave we now have a brand new control panel next to the App Store icon. This control panel specifically manages system upgrade options, leaving the management of third-party application upgrades in the Mac App Store control panel.

In the new control panel, we have information about when the system was last updated and options for automatic updating. The advanced options, by clicking the button in the lower left corner of the interface, allow us to install additional updates.

At the moment this information is duplicated in the control panel of the Mac App Store, and taking into account that this is the first beta of macOS 10.14 Mojave, we may see refinements in this section later, including the possibility that this new control panel will only appear when you are enrolled in Apple’s beta program.

The new control panel also manages the developer options that allow you to receive the new betas for both the developer program and the public beta program. Clicking on these options displays a contextual dialogue box that allows you to modify this behaviour.

macOS 10.14 Mojave: recent applications in the Dock

Just as this feature was included in iOS 11 for iPad, it is now also available for the Mac.
Activated by default, you’ll begin to notice its presence as you launch applications, which will be placed in the Dock between the application part and the part of the Dock that you can customize. In the middle will appear this section of recent applications, demarcated by two separators. The active separator will be the one on the right, where you can invoke some actions with the alternative button.

It is not configuring you, but if you can disable this behaviour from System Preferences > Dock
