Lian Li introduces three new convertible aluminum chassis PQ-50, PC-V320 and PC-V370

Surely when reading the title of this article, many will be asking what a convertible chassis means, and it is that Lian Li has presented three new models of a frame made entirely of aluminum with this attractive feature. Lian Li refers to a convertible when he tells us that these chassis allow us to acquire a second (or more) of the same model to merge them horizontally, thus greatly expanding the available interior space or creating several separate air chambers, a world of options.

The three new models incorporate a unique grid design of their front and top, while they all have the same connectivity design with a USB Type C front, two USB Type A and both AUDIO HD jacks, plus clear of the usual power and reset buttons.

The first of the chassis presented is the new PQ-50, which as you can see, comes with an entirely open interior design and mini ITX format. The new chassis has power supply installation internally in the front zone thanks to an included bridge cable and includes space for 2 3.5 “units and 2 2.5” units.

This new chassis measures 170mm x 285mm x 360mm and can only accommodate a 120mm fan. Although if we put together two same chassis, we could dispense with the assembly of the source and HDD in favor of better ventilation options.

The next chassis presented is the PC-V320, which is no more than the micro ATX version of the previous frame, with dimensions of 170mm x325mm x467mm and the possibility of installing a 120mm fan in the front.

Finally, we have the ATX version with the PC-V720, which being of a larger size with measures 170mm x 385mm x 467mm, does not allow better ventilation options but offers a noticeable greater interior space.

The three new chassis will be available from September with recommended prices of $ 149 for PQ-50, $ 189 for PC-V320 and $ 219 for PC-V730. All chassis will support graphics cards up to 40cm in length and CPU heatsinks up to 140mm high. Although with the modular structure I can offer to merge several of these chassis I am sure many modders will opt for liquid cooling for these models.
