LG plans to release its first levitating speaker based on Bluetooth next year, and it’s set to be demonstrated at CES 2017.

At CES 2017, LG is introducing its first wireless speakers, harnessing Bluetooth technology for seamless communication with both the speakers and connected peripherals. The centerpiece of this innovative audio solution is the Levitation station, a feat of engineering equipped with the latest audio electronics, including subwoofers.

This groundbreaking audio system consists of two key components: a wireless speaker capable of emitting sound in a full 360-degree radius and a specialized levitation station equipped with electromagnets. However, the station is not merely a suspension platform; it also enhances the functionality of the speaker itself.

The LG PJ9: A Marvel of Design and Performance

The LG PJ9 boasts a visually striking design combined with cutting-edge sound technology. While there are other levitating speakers on the market, most are hindered by physical contact with the ground, which compromises the advantages of levitation speaker functionality. With the LG PJ9, every design element contributes to both a stunning aesthetic and outstanding performance.

The levitating speaker hovers in the air, emitting medium and high tones with the integrated power source providing hours of playback without interruption. The levitation station also incorporates a built-in subwoofer, delivering powerful bass. Impressively, it doubles as a wireless charger. When the battery of the hovering speaker drops below a set threshold, it automatically descends to the station for recharging, all while maintaining continuous sound playback.

Exceptional Sound Quality and Durability

The levitation station can emit sound in 360 degrees and has received an approved IPX7 certification, ensuring shockproof and water-resistant properties. With a built-in battery, the LG PJ9 offers up to 10 hours of continuous use. When the battery level drops to 20 percent, the speaker autonomously returns to the docking station for recharging, a feature typically activated after 8 hours of playback. While LG has not yet disclosed the pricing or release date, the product is generating significant anticipation and is set to be launched soon after CES 2017.
