HU80KA is the new projector from LG. As, taking into account the sizes of most televisions, the importance of 4K resolution is secondary compared to other features. Such as HDR, 10-bit color or a full gamut of color. However, with a 150-inch screen like the one that LG’s new 4K projector is capable of displaying. That is, about more than 8 million 4K pixels do count.
LG HU80KA: The new LG 4K projector is a small tower capable of displaying a 150-inch screen
While other 4K projectors are flattened and short, the LG HU80KA is an elongated tower. That seems to be designed to be placed directly on the ground instead of on a table or stand. LG also claims that the projector can mount on the ceiling or a wall.
The new projector is capable of creating a screen of up to 150 inches with 2,500 lumens. It also supports HDR content (HDR 10) for a more immersive cinema experience.
The LG 4K projector comes with two sturdy 7W speakers. That avoids the need to connect extra speakers or a soundbar. It also has an integrated Smart TV with webOS 3.5 interface. So that users can access the most popular streaming services.
It also offers multiple connectivity options such as USB, Ethernet, and HDMI ports, Bluetooth. As well as wireless support for external devices such as keyboard and mouse.
It probably did not escape you, in his statements, LG evokes expensive projectors too expensive. Unfortunately, we have no information yet on the tariff positioning of the HU80KA. Difficult anyway to imagine that this projector can be marketed under the bar of € 3,000, at least. Hopefully, the manufacturer can deliver this vital information to us at the US show CES2018.
