LG 34GK950F and LG 34GK950G, Nano IPS gaming monitors with G-SYNC and FreeSync 2

At IFA LG introduces two new monitors designed to delight fans of two types of technology, Nvidia’s G-SYNC (34GK950G) and AMD’s FreeSync 2 (34GK950F), both with Nano-IPS panels.

LG 34GK950G and 34GK950F are equipped with Nano IPS® panels.

Both models 34GK950G and 34GK950F offer a resolution of 3440x1440p and feature a Nano-IPS panel. These two monitors are designed to serve the opposite sides of the PC market, with the 34GK950G supporting G-Sync, while the 34GF950F supports VESA Adaptive-Sync and FreeSync 2. 98% of DCI-P3 colors are covered by a flicker-free W-LED backlight with a KSF phosphor coating.

The G-Sync monitor supports a 100 Hz refresh rate and 120 Hz overclocking mode, while the FreeSync version supports a full 144 Hz refresh rate without overclocking. This makes the FreeSync version of this screen at least superior to the G-Sync version in 120 Hz overclocking mode.

Both monitors support a maximum brightness of 400 nits, which is low in terms of HDR compliance, but sufficient to give the FreeSync version full FreeSync 2 certification.

The G-Sync version of this monitor will be delivered in November for 1399 Euro. The price and release date of the FreeSync version is unknown, although it is expected at about the same time.
