Kolink Horizon: new box with tempered glass and ARGB fans

The German brand Kolink, which focuses on low-cost chassis and power supplies, has introduced its new Horizon enclosure, Kolink Horizon is a model full of tempered glass and RGB (the latest market trend) at a relatively low price.

This Semitower is available in a tinted tempered glass design on the front and side and four pre-installed fans with addressable RGB lighting, i.e. there is no single color throughout the strip, but each diode can have its own color. In this way, very interesting effects can be achieved thanks to the control supplied.

On the top of the box is the I/O panel with 2 USB 3.0 and 1 USB 2.0, two audio jacks, the power button, the reset button and another for controlling the RGB.

Inside, the design features a 3.5″ power supply and window pane that offers numerous advantages in terms of aesthetics, wiring organization (it can be hidden inside) and sound. This is something you can find in every current chassis.

We have a space for plates up to ATX size, with a space for liquid cooling that appears very limited and could interfere with certain combinations of plate and RL. In fact, the manufacturer does not indicate any compatibility of the liquid cooling at the top so that it would be banned to the front (up to 360 mm) or rear (120 mm).

There are some concerns about the restrictive air intakes at the front that could seriously affect the airflow and efficiency of the 3 front fans. In the background, however, there seems to be a generous space for the cabling.

We close with the compatibilities and the price of this box. The manufacturer states that you can install 3 hard drives from 2.5″ and 2 hard drives from 3.5″ / 2.5″, there is space for graphics cards up to 345mm length and air coolers up to 155mm height (the latter is very limited!).

The Kolink Horizon, which offers “luxury features at a low price”, is now available for 80 euros, a price that is not very high given the 4 pre-installed fans and the slightly tinted black glass.
