Last month, Apple demonstrated a number of new features that would add to iOS 12, enhancing the management and sharing of photos. There are many more surprises coming up, as you can see in the latest iOS 12 beta, released for developers.
As they say on Reddit, there’s a new feature that allows you to share iCloud photos, using time links. This option is added in the Share >> Copy Link menu, which enables a sharing link, which has a 30-day validity period.
The user who receives the link will be able to view the image on an iCloud web page, with the option to download it. A detail to take into account, according to users who have already tried this dynamic, is that the image that is shared retains all the data. That is the title, author and EXIF data.
Still, it is an interesting option, as it offers the possibility of sharing images with users who use other operating systems. And the expiration of the links adds a bonus, as the user does not have to worry about each link it generates, as it will automatically disappear.
At the moment it is a feature that is in beta, so you may add some privacy controls or modify its dynamics when it is extended to the final version.
