How does the Intelligent Scan work?

Samsung reads our face with the front camera of the Galaxy S9. This technology can recognize up to 100 different points of our face and combines this information with that obtained through the iris reader so that it builds a recognition pattern based on these data: our look, our iris.
With this information, the system will unlock the phone. And we can access secure folders that the system itself enables to protect our data. Also, if a stable unlock is required, for example, if you are making a mobile payment, it will switch to iris scanning mode.
It is presumed that to apply this technology, Samsung developed a camera with 3D sensors very similar to Apple. So in addition to creating a more secure and robust device, it could become the main competition of the iPhone X and its Face ID.
