The Intel NUC 13 Pro is seen for the first time in a prototype state, showing itself as a 4×4-inch Mini PC, a design that is more compact than usual.

Some images of the Intel NUC 13 Pro were shared by the company’s head of published relations, which were posted by the folks at FanlessTech.

This is the first time we’ve seen it and it’s clearly a prototype as it doesn’t have the finish of a final product.

The current-generation Pro series features Core i7-1260P or Core i5-1260P processors from the Alder Lake generation and DDR4 memory, plus PCIe 4.0. Hopefully this new generation NUC will come with some new Raptor Lake processors with DDR5 memory support, though Intel is reluctant to talk about specs at this point.

Apparently, the updated chassis for the NUC 13 Pro will allow for better airflow, thanks to much of the chassis surface coming with a ‘honeycomb’ slit design, something that has been in use before. More cooling means lower operating temperatures.

This design would be inspired by other Mini PCs, such as those of the ZOTAC brand, although Intel’s option is smaller. When will we see it on the market? It’s a mystery, but the American company could announce it soon At CES 2023 in January. It’s a distinct possibility.
