We have more details about the next generation of Intel 8th generation processors. Such as the Core i7 8700K, which are confirming the clock speeds achieved by these chips. We come up with Intel Core i7 8700K and more details about their frequencies.
Intel Core i9-7900X SkyLake-X Processor Review
So far we knew that this 8th generation i7 would go with six processing cores with 12 threads running in a total of three models. In which the i7 8700K would be the fastest chip in this line. What we do not know is if these three models arrive at the stores at the same time or if they will do so in a staggered way.
Intel Core i7 8700K
4.0GHz on all its cores and 4.3GHz on a single core. With this new information, we know the speeds that can reach the Intel Core i7 8700K. The processor based on the Coffee Lake architecture runs 3.7GHz and can reach 4.3GHz in turbo for a single core, dual core reaches 4.2GHz and 4.0GHz for the six physical cores.
Core i7 8700K BCLK frequency
Going deeper, the Core i7 8700K has a BCLK frequency of 100 MHz with the multiplier unlocked. It adds support for dual-channel memories with speeds of 2400MHz and a total of 12MB of L3 cache or ‘smart cache. That is the same amount as the Intel Core i7-8700 ‘no-K’.
Intel Core i9 7920X Price and Technical Specifications
Using the current socket LGA 1151, these processors will come without problems on motherboards that are already on the market. But it is foreseen that Intel will launch a new chipset called Z390 that will come with these new processors to get the most out of it.
Intel Core i7 8700K
The six cores seem to be common currency this year and especially in 2018. AMD has 6 and eight core processors that work very well and at really competitive prices, Intel will have to do homework with Coffee Lake without losing grounds.
