A730M: Early reviews reveal it is inferior to the RTX 3060M
Intel’s new graphics card is now available in China in a unique notebook design, the Machenike Discovery Edition 2022. This notebook was subjected to gaming performance tests, as far as we can see, with well-known and demanding titles.
Following the release of the 30.0.101.1735 driver for Intel Arc Alchemist discrete graphics cards, Chinese content creators can now provide performance results for this GPU or any other.
In terms of gaming, Golden Pig‘s video compares the A730M and RTX3060M GPUs alongside the same Intel Core i7-12700H processor. In addition, there is the analysis done by ITHome.
The results mix several tests from different sources, so they might not be accurate, but they do give us a pretty general idea of what we should expect from this Intel GPU.
In the following graph, we can clearly see the advantage of the RTX 3060 notebook over the Arc A370M in most cases, in some games more than others as we can see.
It is possible that Intel could improve the results with more polished drivers, as not all tests were done with the latest drivers. However, it seems to confirm the positioning of the A730M, which is not bad to compete in the mid-range of gaming laptops against the proposals of Nvidia and AMD, quite settled in the market.
