The GUNNIR Arc A380 Photon is the first Intel Arc ‘Alchemist’ custom graphics card to hit the market. The graphics card has debuted in the Chinese market, but its price has left us a little concerned.
Intel Arc A380 is listed for $595 USD at Chinese retailers
The graphics card from GUNNIR is a custom design that features a two fans, which are responsible for cooling the GPU and all the hotter components. This model comes with a small factory OC of up to 2450 MHz and a TDP increased to 92W (from the default 75W).
The price in the JD store is about 3999 RMB (595 USD) with VAT. This offer is currently unavailable, as the item is out of stock.
Interestingly, Intel has confirmed that the launch of the Arc A380 desktop graphics card in June is limited to pre-built systems. However, this graphics card is being sold separately, and JD would be the only retailer to have it for sale in the territory.
The arrival of the A380 graphics card or any of Intel’s Arc series are coming to the West later today, as manufacturing partners announce their own custom models.
Does the price of $595 for a graphics card that performs like an RX 6400 seem competitive? We don’t think so, but we’re hopeful that it will be priced lower as more and more alternatives become available.
